Job Summary:
The Litigation Senior performs litigation, forensics, disputes resolutions, and business valuations.
What you'll be doing:
- Prepares and reviews workpapers and reports.
- Performs valuation and forensic analysis, including interpretation of financial statements and input for expert witness exhibits.
- Creates forensic and economic models for the presentation of forensic conclusions.
- Takes responsibility for accuracy of information and work in all aspects of a client assignment from beginning to end.
- Works with discovery team to reconcile documents and data produced in preparation for submission to courts, attorneys, and clients.
- Provides on-the-job training to other department staff.
- Anticipates and analyzes problem areas and questions that will arise during the project and recommend solutions.
- Keeps team informed of all important developments and work with the team to document findings and case issues.
- Develops knowledge of the relevant statutory and family codes and their applicability to accounting principles in performance of forensic accounting.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, forensics, or finance concentration.
- 2 years of litigation support, forensic and/or valuation experience preferred.
- CPA eligible; working toward certification. CPA preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to keep client and other professional matters confidential.
- Ability to think independently and function in a team environment.
- Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with clients, law firms and co-workers.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Maintain high degree of professional standards and client confidentiality.
- Ability to learn new applications, comfortable with technology.
