ROLE SUMMARY:

The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for leading and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive business growth and enhance VUMI's brand presence in international markets. This position reports to the VP of Marketing and will oversee marketing campaigns, social media, digital innovation and creative projects ensuring adherence to stated goals and objectives, timely delivery of projects and efficient cross-team collaboration.

Key responsibilities include developing and leading the implementation of marketing plans in alignment with business objectives set by Leadership, overseeing multi-channel marketing and communications campaigns, and driving digital innovation initiatives to stay ahead in a competitive landscape. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic planning, brand management, and digital marketing, with a strong ability to lead projects from conception to execution while closely monitoring KPIs and effectively managing budgets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing Strategy and Implementation:
  • Support the development and direct the implementation of annual marketing plans and strategies that support VUMI's continued growth internationally, ensuring adherence to regional trends, regulations and cultural specifications.
  • Oversee the creative process and development of marketing campaigns across multiple channels, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Direct the implementation of the proposed marketing plan programs throughout the year, by leading Digital, Creative and Communication teams.

Leadership, Project Management and Process Optimization:
  • Lead and mentor the marketing team in executing the proposed strategy, providing feedback and guidance.
  • Supervise team's adherence to stated objectives on a timely fashion.
  • Spearhead project management efforts by organizing and streamlining internal processes, proposing and implementing strategies to enhance team dynamics and efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Represent the marketing department in cross-functional meetings.
  • Work closely with the regional Commercial department heads and staff for different regions to discuss local market conditions, strategies and plans that lead to increased sales.

Digital Innovation:
  • Lead collaboration with stakeholders to maintain, update and improve current digital platforms (websites, apps, landing pages).
  • Oversee the development of new digital solutions, such as MyVIP Care, VUMILab, Agent Central, TravelVIP App.
  • Manage the development and timely delivery of the different assets that compose such innovation projects (content, translations, IT interactions, revisions, illustrations, videos, guides, quizzes, certificates).
  • Plan and supervise launch campaigns, emphasizing the digital platforms' benefits to promote adoption among users.
  • Monitor usage metrics and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Communications, Creative and Social Media:
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the communications plan, social media strategies and other creative projects.
  • Supervise the development of email marketing communications, guides, and other collateral materials targeted to agents.

Market and Industry Intelligence:
  • Monitor and assess competitive landscape, consumer and international healthcare trends to inform strategic interventions.
  • Ensure the dissemination of relevant insights and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including department heads and executive leadership.
  • Present ideas and findings, including budget, resource allocation and delivery time frames for implementation.

Budgeting and Compliance:
  • Manage the marketing budget efficiently to maximize ROI.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations in collaboration with legal departments.


IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or similar discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience of IPMI or healthcare marketing, B2B2C or agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Fluent in English, Portuguese with a good level of Spanish.
  • Strong understanding of cultural nuances and market dynamics within Latin America and other parts of the globe.
  • Multitasking skills are a must.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams in different countries.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills: comfortable guiding marketing copy and content development.
  • Experience executing strategy within timeline, budget and quality standards.
  • Critical thinker and creative problem solver, who exercises good judgment in resolving difficult situations, prioritizes and can balance needs with enterprise objectives.
  • Positive, pro-active, can-do attitude with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously while maintaining uncompromising quality.
  • International travel required occasionally (up to 20%)
