Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center is looking to add a Psychiatrist to our multidisciplinary team in our newly renovated Ansonia location. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a candidate interested in working with a population with a co-morbid addiction problem. Addiction Psychiatry experience and interest in addiction treatment are preferred; including methadone maintenance, office-based buprenorphine treatment, and general psychiatric outpatient care. There are opportunities for teaching: Yale Addiction psychiatry fellows and Yale medical students with corresponding clinical faculty appointments.
We are the largest provider of outpatient behavioral healthcare in Southern Connecticut. We offer a full complement of mental health services including:
Adult Mental Health & Counseling Services
Addiction Services including MAT
Child and Family Guidance Services
Inpatient Detox
Geriatric Psychiatric Services
Summary
The Psychiatrist maintains responsibility for psychiatric consultation of the BHD site(s) assigned. The Psychiatrist will work in collaboration with the Program Director(s) of site(s) to deliver appropriate clinical services and treatment planning. Works to lead a multidisciplinary team to provide direct service and supervision of/consultation to staff. Will collaborate with mid-levels as assigned by the Medical Director.
Qualifications
Education: A recognized degree from an accredited professional school (MD, DO). Psychiatrist must be licensed as an MD in the State of CT, have completed a residency training program from an accredited institution in an appropriate specialty, and be Board certified or eligible.
Experience: Experience as Addiction Psychiatrist.
