The Clinic is the primary site of employment. PanCare provides no professional liability protection for moonlighting.
PanCare provides a comprehensive benefits package to include medical, dental and vision insurance. In addition, to health coverage, we offer 14 paid holidays and 3 weeks of paid vacation per year. Our providers are also eligible to participate in our 403(b) plan with a 6% employer match and 3% annual employer contribution. We also offer a 457(b) deferred compensation plan for those that max out their 403(b) annually. This plan provides a 50% employer match up to $7,500 per year. This position also qualifies for student loan forgiveness through HRSA.

Specific responsibilities include:
- Obtain health history and perform physical examinations.
- Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a plan for treatment.
- Prescribe medication in accordance with Florida statute and professional practice guidelines.
- Perform minor surgical procedures.
- Arrange referral for patients requiring services not offered at the Health Center.
- Review incoming reports (e.g. lab, x-ray, EKG) sign, date and follow-up in a timely manner.
- Participate in staff outreach and off-site health care programs in the Health Center area as assigned by the Medical Director.
- Supervise students in training at the Health Center as assigned by the Medical Director.
- Supervise mid-level practitioners (physician assistants and nurse practitioners).
- Comply with the Health Center Infection Control Plan which includes personally utilizing universal precautions. Ensure compliance by support staff.
- Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings and other clinical meetings.
- Participate in all safety programs, which may include assignment to an emergency response team.
- Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested.
- Assist in outside medical public relations functions.
- Adhere to UDS productivity standards and meet at least the minimum requirement.
- Other responsibilities as assigned to create a smoothly run efficient clinic
- All providers are responsible for participation in any ongoing quality improvement activities in the clinical area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Florida State Medical License
- Current DEA Certificate
- Insurability (malpractice)
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
- ACES or Advanced Life Support within 12 months of employment
