Senior Wealth Planning Strategist, Senior Vice President:
The Senior Wealth Planning Strategist is responsible for supporting and enhancing high-net-worth prospect and client relationships through the development, communication and implementation of financial planning strategies, often involving complex financial, tax and estate planning issues.
Position Competencies:
Successful incumbents possess a strong background working with business owners and high-net-worth individuals and families; they have superb interpersonal skills, strategic agility, business acumen, and a drive for results; they have the ability to communicate clearly, direct others, deal effectively with ambiguity, efficiently manage client engagements from start to finish; and they will remain committed to high ethical values and excellent customer service.
Position Responsibilities:
Support and expand wealth management business by providing consultative and advisory services through sophisticated analysis and delivering advanced planning strategies through consultations and wealth planning engagements with Comerica clients and prospects.
Salary Range
For candidates hired in the state of California, Colorado, Washington, New York the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently:

- Bachelor's Degree required
- JD, CPA or CFP, preferably with an LLM or Master's degree in tax
- 10 years experience advising high-net-worth individuals on financial, tax and/or wealth transfer issues, preferably at a financial or professional services firm
- 5 years experience working in a team-based, client service industry

- Serve as the primary wealth planning subject-matter expert within their region in financial, tax, wealth transfer and related issues.
- Drive the discovery process to understand the client's priorities and concerns.
- Develop financial, tax and wealth transfer analyses and suggestions that support the client's goals and desires.
- Work closely with the Wealth Management team to implement identified planning strategies and increase client satisfaction and retention.
- Manage consultations and wealth planning engagements with efficient work-flow, communication and collaboration, bringing engagements to a successful close in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate expertise and thought leadership by writing articles, illustrations and presentations for use in educating clients, prospects and colleagues.
- Maintain knowledge of financial and advanced planning techniques as well as relevant tax and wealth transfer rules and regulations.
- Participate in the ongoing improvement of the wealth planning process and procedures.
