LEAD APP SURGERY

Position Summary: In collaboration with the Chief, Department of Surgery, and Department Director and Assistant Director, provides leadership, coordinates activities, and oversees the inpatient general surgery surgical services, and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) on those services, to include but not limited to, credentialing and privileging processes, appropriate staffing, quality monitoring, productivity monitoring, and continuing education. Provides liaison functions between APPs, physicians, hospital administration, other departments and external groups. May perform a variety of clinical duties and technical procedures to assist in the delivery of healthcare services.

Requirements:

• Graduate of approved Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program
• Maryland RN License required or
• Licensed Physician Assistant required
• 5-7 years of relevant experience
