Job Responsibilities
Develop cloud implementation and migration architecture and standards across the Judiciary.
Work as part of a team, to assess the current cloud implementation and migration plans and recommend changes to the judiciary's cloud computing strategy, architectures, and roadmaps.
Develop cloud migration strategies, governance frameworks, architectures, standards, and roadmaps and assist with cloud implementation and migration governance where appropriate.
Ensure that the cloud environment is efficient, secure, compliant, and aligned with the judiciary's mission and objectives.
Required Skill/Qualifications
Cloud Strategy Development:
Assess, develop, and maintain the judiciary's cloud strategy, aligning it with the overall IT strategy and business objectives.
Define the cloud architecture implementation and migration strategy.
Cloud Architecture Design:
Assess and support cloud designs including infrastructure, networking, security, and data management components.
Determine the optimal cloud deployment models based on the judiciary's needs and compliance requirements.
Develop architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and design documents.
Cloud Migration and Implementation:
Architect, plan, and oversee the migration of applications and data to the cloud environment. Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications and organizations are cloud-ready and optimized for performance, security, and scalability.
Assess the implementation of cloud infrastructure components, such as virtual networks, storage, and compute resources.
Determine the optimal cloud deployment models based on the judiciary and application needs and in compliance with the migration strategy.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure the cloud environments meet federal security and compliance frameworks, such as FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST guidelines.
Ensure the cloud environments meet the Judiciary IT Security Framework.
Assess security controls, access management, and data encryption implementations.
Assess cloud security and review audits to identify and mitigate risks
Cloud Operations and Governance:
Support the establishment of cloud governance, including policies, procedures, and best practices. Implement monitoring and optimization of cloud performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.
Support the implementation of automation and orchestration tools to streamline cloud operations and management.
Education
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
