This position is responsible for providing collaborative leadership to develop and implement a shared vision of the library in support of the University's mission. This position is a 12-month staff position.

Paid Time Off
- Annual leave is accrued for each hour worked. During the first 2 years of employment, the accrual is 10 workdays. After completion of 2 years of continuous service, eligible employees are entitled to 12 days of annual leave and, for each additional year of service, annual leave is increased by one day per year to a maximum of 20 days after 10 years.
- Full-time regular staff members are entitled to 96 work hours (12 workdays) of sick leave each year at the employee's regular rate of pay regardless of length of service.
- Full-time, regular staff employees are eligible for paid holidays.

Description
This position is responsible for providing collaborative leadership to develop and implement a shared vision of the library in support of the University's mission. This position is a 12-month staff position.
Essential Job Duties
- Serve as chief administrator of the library;
- Oversee the acquisition, organization, and management of library collections, both physical and digital, ensuring that they meet the needs of students, faculty, staff, and researchers;
- Guide the provision of evolving, relevant library services;
- Provide vision, leadership, and accountability through collaborative strategic planning and assessment;
- Develop and implement policies for the library/department;
- Prepare and manage the budget, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources to support library operations and initiatives;
- Integrate and facilitate appropriate technology;
- Effectively supervise and provide support for professional development for faculty and staff;
- In cooperation with the campus community, develop and guide initiatives that support the learning, teaching, research, service, and administrative goals of the University;
- Working within the system of shared governance, represent the library and its faculty/staff to internal and external stakeholders;
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- ALA-accredited master's degree in library and/or information science (or its equivalent) is required;
- Three or more years in library administration and/or a supervisory position, preferably academic, is required.
