The Assistant Superintendent of Innovation and Information will serve as the evaluator with performance reviewed annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board Policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.

- Degree in computer science or information technology preferred; Relevant certifications are highly desirable
- Working knowledge of information technology systems and networks that are used in the school district
- Five years experience in a computer networking in a WAN environment
- Microsoft certification preferred
- Cisco CCNA routing and switching certification preferred
- Knowledge of Fortinet firewall systems preferred
- Experience working with Windows, Mac, Google Admin, and mobile device management
- Experience working with mail/web filtering, DHCP, DNS, FTP, VPN, NPS and other network services in an enterprise environment
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
To provide assistance to the Assistant Superintendent of Innovation and Information in the following areas:
- Technology Environment
- Design, configure, and deploy network solutions to meet the district's requirements including maintenance, upgrades, expansions, and optimizations
- Maintains and updates District networking equipment for LAN and WAN and wireless environments
- Controls the security aspects of all IT systems by implementing and managing the necessary firewalls, filters, proxy servers, and VPNs
- Maintains and updates District user account distribution and life cycle
- Maintains and updates District and network backup systems including cloud-based and offsite systems
- Maintains and updates District network antivirus and anti-malware systems
- Maintains and updates the GSuite for Education environment, Office 365, and Azure environment
- Other Skills Required
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently under varying deadlines under minimal supervision
- Ability to exercise tact, good judgment, and initiative in dealing with students, faculty, and the public
- Ability to work and collaborate with a team
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing including clear, polite telephone communication skills
- Ability to identify sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
