Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the technical management and support of the district's miscellaneous systems and applications.
Qualifications/Skills:
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Certification and related experience will be evaluated in lieu of degree.
- 2012, 2016 and 2019 Microsoft servers.
- Knowledge of voice over telephony systems.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and network administration/protocols.
- Proficient in use of monitoring software to determine and mitigate network performance
- Knowledge of CCTV systems.
- Powershell scripting and command line interface;
- End-user device operating systems (Windows, iOS, Android, Mac, etc.);
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to solve basic technical problems quickly and produce results.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of district personnel.
- Ability to learn new technologies by reading, self-paced practice and minimal one-on-one training.
- Demonstrate self-motivation with ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to prioritize and be flexible.
- Ability to multi-task and to work well under pressure.
- Demonstrate ability to interpret data and address needs of departments.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience supporting end-users and two (2) years of experience supporting an enterprise environment.
Major Duties and
Responsibilities:
Systems Administration:
- Support 2016 and 2019 Microsoft servers.
- Support virtual server environment for VOIP and CCTV.
- Maintain phones and software.
- Support end-user device operating systems (Windows, iOS, Android, Mac, etc.)
- Solve basic technical problems quickly and produce results.
- Interact with district personnel.
- Demonstrate self-motivation with ability to work unsupervised.
- Prioritize activities and be flexible.
- Multi-task and work well under pressure.
- Research, evaluate and test new technologies.
- Develop written instructions for tech support personnel as well as end user installation.
- Provide upper-level support and training to the Help Desk where applicable.
- Provide after-hours/weekend support for special projects and emergencies
- Perform other duties as assigned.
