Principal Function: The Physician Assistant is responsible for providing primary health care and education to WCCH patients.
Essential duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Performs physical examination, diagnosis, and management of illness in conjunction with a Physician.
2. Performs physicals, sexually transmitted disease (STD) exams, breast exams, and pelvic exams, monitoring changes and maintaining accurate files.
3. review diagnostic procedures and lab tests including entering lab results, STD, and Pap Smear results in to a computer and notifies patients of results, as required.
4. Reviews x-ray and laboratory findings.
5. Consults with office staff and other health care professionals regarding patient care.
6. Educates patients on health maintenance and disease maintenance and disease prevention.
7. Addresses and documents completion of required performance measures to include patient education, appropriate testing, and review of patient history and treatment.
8. Assist in developing short-term and long-term health care goals and objectives, policies and procedures, and the plans and programs directed toward their achievement.
9. Assists in implementing a comprehensive health education program, including the development of health education materials for patients.
10. Serves on-call for emergencies on a rotational basis.

Hours - Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
