Test Engineer

Description

SAIC is looking for a Test Engineer to support a project located at Point Mugu, CA.

Job responsibilities include:

• Support the customer Software Integration Team (SIT) by conducting end to end and regression testing.
• Conduct verification/validation of the developed system that meets the technical adequacy and meets the documented system requirements.
• Support development of test cases with associated test points for each test case.
• Test support duties included submitting Software Trouble Reports (STRs) using the customer's configuration management.
• Test duties include supporting customer meeting schedule with test team and direct work with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
• Research different high-level technical approaches to meet test requirements.
• Update product support documentation, including test plans, test procedures, user guides, technical manuals, training guides, and ICDs/IDDs as required.

Qualifications

Education and experience:

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or a related technical discipline and two (2) years of experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Required skills:

• Demonstrate familiarization with oscilloscope use and test tool use such as MATLAB.
• Understanding of Python, C++.
• Outstanding interpersonal and management consulting service skills, including the ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work with senior officials, to build and sustain professional networks in a diverse, fast-paced, multi-task environment, and to manage competing priorities.
• Must be able to travel as needed.

Required clearance:

• Must have an active Secret clearance.

Desired skills:

• Experience with embedded systems and real time operating systems is desirable
• Experience with the Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) and EA-18G programs is also desirable

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
