Job Title: IT Software Development Engineer

Job Summary: Software Engineers create next generation software solutions to support business areas across the firm. Software Engineers work closely with business leaders to develop and deliver custom software solutions that optimize performance and efficiency.

Job Functions:

• Design, develop, and modify internal software solutions of ERP systems. Design, and develop special programs and projects for Fuyao Glass America Inc. per customers' need
• Maintain the company ERP system (PLEX system) and integrate PLEX and other enterprise-class applications, like email system, website, MES, finance report system
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
• Provide essential technical expertise and guidance to facilitate key software development projects and drive technological innovation
• Supplemental document compilation and provide necessary training
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high development standards
• Responsible for managing and maintaining database servers
• Provide basic training to new employees, which covers the fundamentals of the company's ERP system and new online systems for business departments. Provide software skills training as needed during projects
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and Mandarin. Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents such as safety rules, and operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Strong SQL Server/general database and SQL understanding
• Software development experience in C#, JavaScript or another language using a major web framework such as Struts2, Spring MVC; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• 1- 2 years of software development experience for enterprise-class applications
• Bachelor's, Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• The employee is regularly required to stand or sit for long periods. Duties will include long periods of viewing a computer monitor
• Strong C#.NET/CSS/JavaScript/HTML5 development experience
• Experience with MS Windows and Unix/Linux
• Be a team player with a positive and helpful attitude towards peers
• Participate in large-scale manufacturing software implementation projects

Must be 18 years of age or older.
