Job Description :
- Available to work in 24x7 rotation shift as may be required per customer location / business demands.
- Perform IT hardware (Server, network, Storage and Backup infrastructure) install, move and necessary cabling needed from patch panel for connectivity
- Perform hands and feet support during server maintenance activities
- Escort Vendors who might visit Data center to carry out Installation, configuration, hardware replacement and other maintenance works in coordination with Server, network administrator
- Collaborate with vendor and assist hardware upgrade activities
- Participate in periodic scheduled Datacenter maintenance activities such as Power Maintenance and UPS maintenance by ensuring adequate communication to Server owners and customer change management
- Engage Service Vendor for all third-party IT hardware supports
- Coordinate ship/receive IT infrastructure components/parts as needed for datacenter as per client's security and asset management policies
- Perform physical server hardware install, move, replace according to customer requirement and demand
- Perform IT Hardware decommission activities such as Power OFF, Disconnect, remove the IT hardware from the rack) and prepare for disposal as per the process and procedures approved and provided by customer
- Coordinate with customer or customer approved vendor for IT Hardware disposal process
- Maintain and update the documentation for all Data Center operations procedures and services
Must Have Skills:
- Data Center Operations, administration and first line of response of technical support.
- Blending superior communication organizational skills to achieve corporate goals.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, implementing, maintaining mechanisms to provide maximum service to the end-user community.
- Experience in handling Entry level, Mid-range and Enterprise class IT hardware devices such as Servers, Network Routers, Switches, Storage, Disk Drives, Tape Drives, Computer Room Racks and Structured cabling
- Strong understanding of IT Datacenter concepts, power, cooling and periodic maintenance
- Strong knowledge and practice of following ITIL Framework for Incident Management, Change management, Service Request management and problem management
