Provide daily direction and oversight to Data Architect(s).
Demonstrate ability to analyze processes, create solutions, manage conflict, and measure results.
Develops enterprise Data Architectures strategies and solution recommendations in support of business strategies.
Develops recommendation and conducts analysis in support of department and business line strategic efforts.
Confers with client, technical staff, and team members to plan, design, develop, implement, and enhance applications, scripts, procedures, and metadata for relational databases.
Provide thought leadership and consulting services to business lines.
Establishes processes for governing the identification, collection, and use of corporate metadata; takes steps to assure metadata accuracy and validity.
Champion enterprise data management best practices.
Provides consultation during strategic planning, prioritization, and implementation projects.
Provides recommendations for future data architecture structure and standards.
Leads design of high-level conceptual and logical models that facilitate a cross-system/cross functional view of data requirements.
Oversees the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality.
Establishes methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement.
Conducts data capacity planning, life cycle, duration, usage requirements, feasibility studies, and other tasks.
Collaborates with project managers and business unit leaders for all projects involving enterprise data.
Identifies and develops opportunities for data reuse, migration, or retirement.
Provides consultation during business requirements gathering efforts.
May work with organization departments to design and develop data marts.
Designs, develops, and implements the data architecture for a data warehouse, including high-performance ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) tools and routines and the infrastructure.
Leads Data Profiling and Data Quality analysis using SQL or other query based analysis
Develops and implements solutions for cleansing data to remove errors and ensure consistency.
Recognize and leverage data sources both internally and externally to enhance the analysis capabilities
Reverse Engineers data specifications from source systems through data discovery, analysis, and other techniques.
Develops and maintains Data Models.
Maintains an Enterprise Data Dictionary.
Performs all other duties and special assignments as assigned.
