CFD Engineer
Keywords: STAR-CCM+ or Simerics-MP+, testing, programming in Python or Java, CFD with major in heat transfer and fluid mechanics
MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with coursework in heat transfer and fluid mechanics preferred
2+ years of experience with simulation, design, testing, or release of propulsion related system
2+ years of experience with CFD analysis of propulsion related systems
Familiarity or practical experience with the principles of vehicle propulsion system design, operation, or testing
Experience with STAR-CCM+ or Simerics-MP+ CFD software
Experience with CFD optimization tools
Experience with test to model correlation
Experience with programming in Python, Java, or equivalent languages
Linux experience in distributed computing environments
Experience with the latest CFD visualization techniques
Knowledge of Siemens NX CAD modeling
Development of new and innovative CFD simulations related to electrification propulsion components
Collaboratively work in small teams focused on the development of complex multiphase flow and/or thermal simulations
Application of developed and developing capabilities to directly impact design, manufacturing process, and for the elimination of hardware testing
Provide component-level and/or system-level design recommendations to Design Responsible Engineers based on interpretation of analysis results
Participate in product design and development teams and present analysis results to engineering peers and management
Provide technical insight for problem resolution by leveraging analysis results
Benchmarking and evaluation of new procedures, technology, or software tools
Contribute to the development of automation tools using Python or Java
