IT Technical Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Technical Manager with extensive knowledge of CargoWise Transport Management System (TMS) and a solid background in managing cross functional teams and related projects. This role will focus on driving the strategic vision, development, and optimization of IT products, particularly around CargoWise TMS, while working closely with developers to deliver high-impact solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in logistics and supply chain technology, as well as a deep understanding of product management methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Management:

• Own the product lifecycle for CargoWise TMS and related IT systems, from concept to delivery.
• Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with company objectives and customer needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, operations, IT) to gather and prioritize product requirements.
• Lead the design, customization, and enhancement of CargoWise TMS to optimize workflows and meet business needs.
• Define success metrics (KPIs) for product performance and continuously monitor user feedback to drive improvements.
• Ensure smooth integration of CargoWise with other enterprise systems and technologies.

Developer & Technical Team Management:

• Lead and manage a team of developers to ensure the successful implementation of product initiatives.
• Act as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders to ensure technical alignment with product goals.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Implement agile methodologies and best practices to manage development sprints, product backlogs, and releases.
• Ensure developers are equipped with the tools, resources, and training necessary to meet product goals.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable product features.
• Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on product progress, risks, and timelines.
• Ensure effective communication between product management, development, QA, and operational teams.
• Conduct regular product demos, training, and presentations for internal teams and customers.

Project Management:

• Lead product-related IT projects, including new implementations, upgrades, and integrations, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
• Track project progress, manage risks, and implement solutions to overcome any obstacles.
• Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with the overall product roadmap.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Product Management, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in product management, IT management, or software development.
• Proven hands-on experience with CargoWise TMS in a logistics, transportation, or supply chain environment.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Experience in leading and managing software development teams.
• Understanding of agile product management frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
• Knowledge of programming languages, databases, or software development tools (ie. Python, JavaScript, PostgreSql, Flask, Vue.js).
• Experience integrating CargoWise with other ERP systems or third-party solutions.
