Business Data Analyst (IT)

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:

The Business/Data Analyst (BDA) position will use business analysis capabilities to work within the core of our business to improve and streamline processes that help the organization meet its objectives and reach goals. The BDA helps initiate greater employee productivity and ultimately support business information systems that provide solutions to a variety of business issues across multiple departments.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyzing and evaluating the current business processes and identifying areas of improvement
• Creating initiatives from business requirements and needs
• Collaborating with users and stakeholders
• Interpreting data, analyzing results using data mining tools and providing ongoing reporting
• Developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize efficiency and organization effectiveness
• Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in data sets
• Gathering requirement for business projects and initiatives
• Understanding and providing expertise in businesses processes as it relates to the use of IT Information systems
• Writing end user documentation and quick guides
• Developing documentation and flow diagrams
• Managing large sums of data and preparing analytics for management
• Supporting operating departments with business process improvement and system optimization efforts
• Employing accurate methodology and documentation tools
• Preparing written business correspondences that are coherent, grammatically correct, effective, and professional
• Proposing solutions to problems and while considering timeliness, effectiveness, and practicality in addressing client needs
• Generating innovative solutions by approaching problems with curiosity and open mindedness, using existing information to its fullest potential
• Maintaining up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in business, data science, finance or any IT related field required

EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years' business analysis experience is preferred
• Tableau software preferred
