Job Title: Performance Tester / Test Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC | Plano, TX

Duration: Full-Time

Job Description:

This role/job will be actively involved in Performance Testing activities for the CSW space. As a performance tester, this role/job entails performing a variety of performance capabilities ranging all the way from NFR collection, down to performance test scripting, test execution, monitoring, analysis, engineering, and results reporting.

Role Requirements:

Skilled in performance testing tools, methodologies, and deliverables (experience leading work efforts in all aspects of performance testing including requirements, planning, complex scripting, test harness design, test execution, results analysis)

Exhibits triage ownership / leadership ability (ability to own issue resolution, direct triage, drive participation and discussion, execute crisp and effective communications, strong organizational skills)

Solid understanding of software development and architecture concepts (.NET, Java/JEE, code review, code analysis, architectural/enterprise integration patterns, 3-tier architecture)

Tools/Technologies:

• Critical

• Dynatrace Managed / AppDynamics (or similar profiling/diagnostics tool)
• Splunk
• WAS (WebSphere Application Server), Jboss, Apache Tomcat
• Micro Focus LoadRunner / Performance Center
• Technical Skills:
• Familiar with Agile project framework (JIRA, etc)
• Performance Test Engineering / Troubleshooting - including but not limited to:
• Encapsulates Planning, Modeling, Scripting, Testing, Monitoring, Results Analysis, Results Documentation and Communication
• Critical scripting protocols: HTTP/S, Web Services, TruClient
• Performance Results Analysis
• Evaluating and diagnosing system health and welfare (and issues) via use of Monitoring, APM, Diagnostics, and other performance and monitoring tools
• Analysis capabilities across the technology stack (web server, application server / JVM, application, container, VM, host, network, cache grid, database)
• Bottleneck analysis
• Use of enterprise health & welfare monitoring and APM profiling/diagnostics tools
• Root cause analysis/diagnosis
• Script review / triage.
