IT Engineer

Responsible for designing hardware configurations, installing software, managing network systems, and training staff on correct operating procedures; Troubleshooting and fixing hardware and software issues including computer, printer, scanner, monitor etc. Network management and maintenance; Security camera system management and maintenance; Customer portal management; IT asset management.

Job Functions and Duties:

• Responsible for the daily operation of computer peripherals and desktop systems maintenance. Able to independently solve hardware and software problems encountered daily including computer, printer, scanner, monitor, conference meeting equipment, and related office and design software etc.
• Responsible for network equipment, internet, and Wi-Fi management and maintenance. Troubleshooting and fix the network issue, ensuring network uptime, security, and maximize network performance. Able to replace, update and program network devices.
• Responsible for new proposal of the new network project, submitting requisition, tracking project and working with supplier testing, acceptance, and deliver.
• Responsible for new employee computer setup and release; terminated employee computer revoke.
• Responsible for IT related equipment like hardware and software asset management to ensure IT asset accuracy.
• Responsible for the maintenance and delivery of IT-related projects.
• Security camera system management including user and permission management
• Customer portal user and permission management.

Qualification:

• Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and Mandarin. Ability to read, understand, and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership, and customers.
• 1 to 3 years of manufacturing experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
• Computer Skills: Knowledge of and familiarity with manufacturing software.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar field preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of computer hardware systems.
• Familiarity with general OS systems, enterprise software, programming languages, and Office software.
• Knowledge of LAN and wireless networks.
• Ability to manage projects.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues.
• Knowledge of database and networking security systems.
