Role: Injection Mold Process Engineer
Location: Tomahawk, WI (Onsite)
Duration: Contract/Full Time
The 2nd shift Injection Mold Processing Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating, developing, and executing manufacturing schedules to the set objectives. Supports daily activities in process developments, validation activities, and change management. In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop & execute objectives, & have the ability to meet company objectives within the timelines specifically related to your assigned projects.
Essential Responsibilities
Insures direct communication between the cross-functional team members and their associated counterparts within the customer organization.
Focus on the tactical execution of New Product Implementation initiatives.
Develop risk assessment initiatives aligned to AIAG FMEA guidelines.
Develop quality assurance initiatives aligned to AIAG Control Plan guidelines.
Support the development, facilitation, qualification, and execution of Internal PPAP initiatives.
Troubleshoots molding defects such as short shots, splay, flash and other related injection molding issues.
Supports automated equipment efficiency studies and implaments required changes.
Develop standard operating procedures where required.
Help manage the coordination of product life cycle activities.
Primary communication source between Engineering and Manufacturing, and act as an escalation in customer issues.
Support the assigned production site projects, costs, and other customer-related matters through leadership and expertise.
Develop and communicate project reports to senior level staff members.
Coordinate, prepare, and help execute DOEs per the Matrix output.
Qualifications/Requirements
B.S in Engineering, Technical Practice, or Equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering, quality, or Production and Manufacturing Operations in an Automotive or related industry.
Experience with AIAG, and ISO 9001 Standards
Ability to support the development and execution of continues improvement initiatives.
Has practical knowledge with Automated Equipment and Injection Molding Operations.
Is a self-starter and can execute assigned projects with minimal supervision.
