Position Overview:
SAP is used for its enterprise business services. SAP standard modules namely FI, CO, MM, FM/RM, PS, travel, and workflow are used with minimum customization. SAP has been heavily customized to meet some of the unique business requirements of the Bank, such as STAR system for concessional finance and iLAP system for loans administration. The SAP developer is responsible for the development and support of the above-mentioned standard/custom applications using SAP HANA calculation views, SAP BW, and SAP standard programming language ABAP.

Position Overview:

Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and maintain Custom SAP Objects like SAP HANA calculation views, RFC, BAPI, BADI, User exits, inbound and outbound interfaces in the areas of FI, CO, FM and MM modules
- Write Low Level Design, Unit Testing Plan, and Unit Test case documentation
- Design, develop, code review, bug-fix, and test the application
- Assist in Integration Testing
- Perform Code optimization and strictly adhere to bank coding standards
- Assist in any documentation or any artifacts needed for OIS clearance
- Coordinate day-to-day communication between team in Chennai and HQ
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computing Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- Role Specific Experience: 2 - 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in writing interfaces between SAP and legacy systems, including data migration, data validation, and data conversion
- Experience with SAP HANA Calculation views based on published BW models
- Experience with BAPI and RFC technology
- IT experience with SAP ABAP/4 programming
- Technical experience with FI (General Ledger, Special Purpose Ledger), Controlling, Budgeting, and Funds Management, Travel, and Materials Management modules of SAP
- Experience in Function Modules, RFC, Reports, BDCs, SMARTFORMS, BAPI, User Exits & Enhancements, and Unicode based programming
Certification Requirements:
- SAP ABAP certification
Skills/Abilities Requirements:
- Good understanding and practical expertise with regards to software development life cycle methodologies
- Good understanding of the following: database tables used in FI, CO, FM, Travel and MM modules
- Hands-on SAP ABAP code optimization techniques
- Solid knowledge in the development and testing methodologies and quality practices
- Strong communication skills and hands on experience in analyzing user requirements and writing technical specifications
- Good written and oral communication skills in English
Pluses for Levels:

- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience
- SAP HANA certification
- Experience in SAP cluster tables and cluster programming
- Sound knowledge in SAP web service implementation
- Interface knowledge with SAP Components like PI, BI and external web applications is a plus
