Mainframe Developer

MUST HAVE SKILLS Expertise in mainframe technologies COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS DB, VSAM and CICS. IBM tools like FILEAID, ENDEVOR, Changeman, Expeditor, Intertest and SPUFI Scheduling tools like CA7 10 years of mainframe programming experience Excellent communication skills In depth knowledge of technology area which includes knowledge of applicable processes, methodologies, standards, products and frameworks. Creates system requirements, performs design and analysis, and coding and unit testing of complex to highly complex system functionality and/or defect correction across multiple platforms. Identifies ideas to improve system performance and impact availability. Resolves complex technical design issues. Provides functional and/or technical guidance in evaluating applications systems or evaluating requests for proposals. Coordinates changes and influences and prioritizes tasks with business or technical departments. Analyzes and influences technical, system, and/or user requirements. Identifies and creates solutions to improve system performance and availability. Gather requirements, define architecture, and determine scope to develop, create, or modify general software applications or specialized utility programs. Coordinate integration testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, and post deployment support of software applications development. Key responsibilities will be ensuring management and resolution of incidents/problems Interacts on a regular basis with client IT staff and the Business,as well as other vendors Facilitates root cause analysis of system issues to minimize impact and future occurrences. Typically serves as a resource to the business. Develops accurate estimates on work packages and ensures the accuracy of estimates
