Engineering & Capital Project Manager
The Engineering & Capital Project Manager is responsible for organizing team members and specializes in architecture or engineering, facilitating, reporting, project analysis and general project and engineering support. In addition, this role will augment leadership, coordinate execution of decisions, and assist the Engineering and Capital Project staff in being as efficient and effective, as possible.

Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's degree; Preferred: Master's degree
Experience
6 years minimum experience required.
Security clearance
Current possession of a U.S. security clearance, or the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance, is required.

Santa Monica, CA
Pay Range: $85,700-$127,500
RAND considers a variety of factors when formulating an offer, including but not limited to, the specific role and associated responsibilities; a candidate's work experience, education/training, skills, expertise; and internal equity. Successful candidates will be offered employment in a specific title, as determined by the candidate's education and experience. The salary range includes base pay plus RAND's sabbatic pay (which provides additional compensation above base pay when vacation is taken). Engineering & Capital Project Manager
The Engineering & Capital Project Manager is responsible for organizing team members and specializes in architecture or engineering, facilitating, reporting, project analysis and general project and engineering support. In addition, this role will augment leadership, coordinate execution of decisions, and assist the Engineering and Capital Project staff in being as efficient and effective, as possible.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Coordinate project scoping and fulfillment actions.
- Coordinate and may direct activities of other project managers.
- Track and report project and engineering portfolio status.
- Gather and document project requirements. Prepare project options, analyses, scoping, and estimates.
- Prepare project test fits. Assists with the development and management of project schedules and budgets.
- Communicate with project stakeholders. Assist in the evaluation of bids and recommends contractors and vendors. Assist in the management of project implementations (cost, time, quality).
- Creates ad maintain comprehensive project documentation including communications, minutes, budgets, and schedules.
- Facilitate multiple maintenance, safety and management tasks that promote a clean and safe working environment for RAND staff.

- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- Ability to clearly articulate technical data and information.
- Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills
- Work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
