Location: Deaconess Henderson Hospital, Deaconess Hospital & Deaconess Gateway Hospital

- Primarily staffing at Deaconess Henderson Hospital
- There is 1 Advanced Practice Provider (APP) supporting Deaconess Gateway Hospital
- Program was started approximately 23 years ago
- Shifts are 12 hours in length
- Swing Shift available (1pm - 1am) for admissions for Evansville campuses
- 175 shifts/year (full-time); 7 on 7 off schedule
- Average # of admissions per night:
- Henderson: 5-10 patients, plus cross-cover/codes
- Midtown: 8-12 patients each, plus cross-coverage/codes
- Gateway: 10-12 patients each, plus cross-coverage/codes
- One Nocturnist per night at Henderson; Two Nocturnists per night at Midtown and Gateway
- Referral base includes ED visits, direct admissions, and regional transfers
- Robust subspecialty support
- Procedures are required for Deaconess Henderson Hospital primary Nocturnist
