IT Manager- Production Control
Location: New York, NY/ Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 3 months Contract to hire

Job description:
POSITION PURPOSE:
Maintain and monitor the application batch job processing to insure successful completions within time restraints to insure no disruption to business functions. Control the necessary steps for completing SOX and PCI Compliance audits to insure compliance is maintained. Provide training of associates on cybersecurity to protect systems and company reputation. Maintain the security policy and coordinate incident response plan actions.

POSITION OUTCOMES/DELIVERABLES:

• A high success rate of batch job completions to allow associates to perform job duties and perform company business.
• Successful completion of IT audits with Internal and External auditing firms.
• Lead the cyber security training and phishing campaigns to associates to better protect the company.
• Manage the change management process to insure protocols are followed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Batch Processing

• Responsible for modifications to the job scheduler AutoSys, including addition, removal and changing of jobs.
  • Insure job dependencies are properly set to run in the correct order and time.
• Develop scripts for executing procedures, FTP functions and reporting purposes.
  • Insure standards are followed and proper error checking is in place to alert of failures.
• Monitor job completions and failures within the job scheduler to minimize disruption to the business.
• Good communication skills are needed and must be timely to inform the business of support issues that adversely affect the business.

Change Management

• Manage changes to production environments follow company procedures and follow best practices.
• Insure code changes are checked into the source code systems before they are allowed to move into production environments.
• Challenge changes are appropriate for the requested time or system based on current conditions.
• Insure changes are documented and maintained for visibility and provide evidence for audits.

Audit Activities

• Lead activities around the annual IT SOX audit.
  • Fulfill all internal and external auditor requests for documentation and evidence.
• Responsible for coordinating the annual PCI compliance audit.
  • Fulfill all auditor requests for documentation and evidence.
  • Submit the required compliance documentation to banking/processing provider
• Report all findings to executive team prior to audit completions.

Cyber Security

• Member of the GIII Cybersecurity Team, participating in the quarterly Cybersecurity & Governance online meetings.
  • Continually address security findings and provide assistance with external vendor security activities.
• Responsible for cybersecurity training and phishing campaigns using ProofPoint services.
  • Coordinate the launch of these campaigns and monitor and report results to executives.

Supervision and work direction

• Direct the assessment, coaching, development and performance management of the Database Adminstrator.
• Coordinate data purge activities are completed to insure system performance is maintained.
• Insure activities are communicated and documented.

Experience Required or Preferred:

• Minimum 4 years experience in a lead role supporting batch processing.
• Past experience with job schedulers is needed in in this role.
• Previous change management experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge and experience with auditing activities around IT general controls, with emphasis on SOX and PCI audits.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and current threat trends, including phishing techniques, is required.

Skills Required or Preferred:

• Strong analytical skills in trouble shooting batch job failures.
• Must have good knowledge of kornshell scripting and Unix commands.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to all levels is essential for this position.
• Provide 24/7 support for batch processing on both Unix and Windows environments.
