Position Summary

Join Advance Community Health as a Full Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our OB-GYN / Women's Center at our Southeast Raleigh location. This provider will be accountable for full scope women's care, including well-women checks, family planning, prenatal, intrapartum and post-partum care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide preventive and acute care in a busy GYN clinic.
  • Provide care to obstetric patients throughout all phases of pregnancy.
  • Perform gynecological exams, pap smears and other gynecological office procedures.
  • Assess and diagnose patient condition and develops and implements a treatment plan.
  • Administer treatments, perform physical examinations, and research medical histories.
  • Order laboratory and diagnostic testing and interpret results, prescribe, administer, and dispense medications and other treatments.
  • Maintains focus on service to patients and demonstrates appropriate knowledge of common medical problems and relevant therapies. Appropriately sees work-ins and walk-ins. Coordinates care with other providers appropriately and assists in seeing patients for other providers when necessary. Deals with patient calls and requests in a timely fashion (including requests from pharmacies, home health, etc.).
  • Achieves productivity goals.
  • Appropriately orders and follows-up on routine health maintenance: PAPs, mammograms, colon screen, developmental delays, etc. Appropriately manages chronic disease (i.e. HTN, DM, Asthma, HIV, etc.): medication management, laboratory testing and follow-up.
  • Arrives on time to clinic or notifies staff of necessary delays which may impact on patient flow. Treats co-workers (providers, clinical and administrative staff) with respect.
  • Involves social work and ancillary staff appropriately.
  • Appropriately and timely communicates issues to supervising physician. Appropriately communicates problems to Administration. Participates in regularly scheduled provider meetings and committees.
  • Maintains CME/credentialing/licensure in compliance with state and board requirements.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality. Responds appropriately to patient satisfaction concerns.

Supervisory Responsibility
  • None

Education and Experience
  • NP/PA, licensed to practice in North Carolina.
  • Two to three years practicing as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant preferably in a preferably in an OB/GYN setting and/or community health environment.
  • NP/PA in the state of NC, DEA.

Preferred Skills
  • Fluent in English and Spanish- written and verbal communications.

Monday - Friday, 8:00an - 5:00pm with flexibility (No Remote Option at this time)

8 hours per day excluding breaks.
