Roles and Responsibilities:
Overall management and technical leadership of production and its related equipment, facilities, and maintenance per Safran Landing Systems policies, goals and objectives
Continuously pursue knowledge of benchmark processes and practices and encourage application within Safran Landing Systems
Assure proper deployment of resources and appropriate planning to meet customer requirements
Establish a comprehensive training program for all employees in the operations group
Establish a comprehensive cross-training program to assure team flexibility and employee development
Lead the efforts to achieve continuous improvement and performance objectives in the areas of throughput, delivery, cost, quality, and safety
Build positive employee relationships based on defined measurable goals, open communication, and participative management
Develop and maintain effective collaborative working relationships with both internal and external customers
Set the example and pace for a dynamic, competitive organization and serve as leader, coach and mentor for employees
Key participant in strategic planning as a member of the Safran Landing Systems leadership team
Perform other related duties as required
Physical/Environmental Scope of Position:
Sit for long periods of time while operating office equipment
Vocal communication, hearing, and visual acuity are required for safety, direction, and the exchange of ideas in the industrial environment
Subjected to inside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, oils and other related industrial hazards
Perform duties requiring kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 20 pounds periodically
Travel specifictity
Ability to travel to other Safran Landing Systems production sites in France and Canada.

Experience/Education/Certification Required:
BA/BS degree required (Engineering or related technical field preferred)
Five (5) to ten (10) years of production management experience, or equivalent
Graduate degree in Engineering or Manufacturing Management or Business Administration preferred.
APICS Certification preferred
Aerospace Industry and/or Carbon composite manufacturing experience preferred
