The role is responsible for day-to-day oversight of the company's monthly close and review process. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of private and public accounting experience, a CPA license, and have a highly evolved attention to detail. This is a key role that will help shape the future of the organization by creating necessary infrastructure through implementing technical solutions, financial policy, and streamlined procedures. It requires a dynamic, agile, and hands-on professional to execute and optimize accounting processes in a fast-paced and growing environment.

Responsibilities:
- All day-to-day accounting operations and activities, including A/R and A/P, fixed assets, cash, and other activity
- Manage the monthly close for all entities, including review of journal entries, inter-company transactions, account analyses, and reconciliations
- Manage the financial reporting process including legal entity, consolidated, and management reports, as well as monthly analytics, KPI and various P&Ls
- Prepare bank reconciliations and oversee the cash management process
- Collaborate with other functional teams to streamline processes for greater efficiency, accuracy, and consistency
- Support multiple external financial statement audits
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to drive operational efficiencies and strengthen internal controls, as needed
- Assist with outside consultants, including tax preparers, and auditors
- Streamline/automate currently manual processes
- Perform ad hoc analysis as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in corporate accounting, with progressive leadership experience
- Skilled with ERP systems such as MS Dynamics, Netsuite, or other similar systems
- Ability to design financial processes and controls
- Strong command of business and accounting principles (US GAAP), including consolidation reporting/elimination entries
- High accuracy and detail orientation; confident decision-making skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel (advanced experience preferred), Word and Powerpoint
- A mindful, accountable, ethical, responsible, respectful, and collaborative approach to work
- Experience deploying and implementing accounting platforms (including integration with ERP systems) preferred
