We're now hiring a Quality AssuranceManager to support our Perham, MN Kenny's Candy and Confections facility. The full-time employee in this position will be responsible for developing and maintaining a system to assure that all products manufactured by Kenny's Candy meet customer specifications and achieve highest quality expectations. This position will report to the director of production support

What We Are Looking For
We're now hiring a Quality AssuranceManager to support our Perham, MN Kenny's Candy and Confections facility. The full-time employee in this position will be responsible for developing and maintaining a system to assure that all products manufactured by Kenny's Candy meet customer specifications and achieve highest quality expectations. This position will report to the director of production support
Essential Responsibilities:
- Focus on safety and incident reduction at KCC
- Implement process to ensure overall quality and consistency of product leaving the facility. Ensure development and training for quality personnel
- Enforce all safety, sanitation and GMP policies
- Represent Kenny's Candy & Confections during customer and trade organization audits
- Oversee nonconforming and posi-hold product and processes
- Lead Materials Review Board activities to ensure product placed on hold is dispositioned in a timely manner
- Conduct on-going shelf life testing and other shelf life studies as required by customers
- Develop, implement and improve quality-monitoring procedures, specifications and process improvements
- Inspect product at various stages to ensure it meets standards
- Work with supply chain staff to establish quality requirements for suppliers
- Investigate and respond to customer complaints
- Perform root cause analysis and lead process improvement defects
- Communicate with management information about quality issues, new items, and other issues as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in food science or 5-10 years QA work experience in food or related industry
- Working knowledge of QA procedures, statistical analysis, process capability study, process control and analytical measurement
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Well-developed organizational skills
- Experience with developing people and team skills, must show leadership ability
- Must be self-motivated, proactive and flexible
- Basic computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Advanced certifications and food industry experience is a plus
- Customer facing experience is beneficial
