Position Summary
Glenbard Township High School District 87 is seeking a qualified candidate who will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance, improvement, and continued development of various networked system containing student, employee, and Illinois State Board of Education operational and reported data. This position provides ongoing support and operational assistance for multiple data systems and services utilized by department throughout the district. This role involves developing best practices, managing user accounts, maintaining system integrity, and supporting specialized scheduling and reporting needs. Ideal candidates must be highly organized, detailed originated, and creative problem-solvers able to handle multiple simultaneous assignments efficiently. Candidates must have excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.

Position Summary

Qualifications
- Preferred MCDBA, SIS, PowerSchool Certified, and SQL Certifications
- Strong understanding of data systems and services, with experience in user account management, system audits, and reporting.
- Strong ability to develop custom reports and utilities.
- Proven experience in creating and maintaining user guides and training documentation.
- Proficiency in developing custom reports and utilities.
- Excellent communication skills for relaying system changes and updates.
- Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and problem-solving skills in support roles.
- Familiarity with server subsystems and disaster recovery processes.
- Ability to stay current with technology trends through continuous learning and professional development.
- Experience with systems integration and secure data transfer is preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not all Inclusive)
- Provide support and operational management for information systems, ensuring continuous availability and performance.
- Develop and implement best practice protocols for user account management, regularly reviewing and updating access and privileges to ensure appropriate system usage.
- Lead coordinator for all ISBE/IWAS data sets, consistently maintaining current year and historical data across all systems and dashboards.
- Liaison to all State of Illinois data requests, whether scheduled or custom reports
- Develop and maintain guides and training documentation of the best practices and procedures.
- Develop custom reports, screens, and utilities to support research, programs, and departmental needs.
- Communicate system changes, updates, and customizations to all users and groups effectively.
- Audits of user accounts, user groups, and access to systems update settings to help ensure data integrity between multiple systems used within the District.
- Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and sound judgment when addressing staff support requests.
- Assist with or oversee the management of related server subsystems and support tasks as assigned.
- Stay informed about relevant technologies by participating in user/support forums, attending user group meetings, and engaging in continuing education.
- Provide specialized training for staff and internal support needed for required state data items as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of support requests and communicate relevant information to the department.
- Assist with systems integration and ensure secure data transfer between multiple systems.
- Manage system backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and recovery capabilities.
- Continuously seek to enhance practices and procedures related to information systems operations.
- Conduct annual audits of user accounts, user groups, and system settings to ensure data security.
- Support all aspects of the scheduling build and load process.
- Provide training and documentation to general support staff as needed.
