Description:

The Skaalen Retirement Services Director of Human Resources is a senior-level position that reports directly to the President / CEO. The ideal candidate will be a mission driven, ministry focused, skilled executive responsible for overseeing all aspects of the human resource function within the organization. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing HR strategies to support the company's overall objectives.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources and at least 5 years of experience in a human resource leadership role. Must be an effective communicator (written and verbally) with strong analytical, critical thinking, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Skaalen Retirement Services is a Christian, not-for-profit, 501(C3), charitable organization that has provided skilled nursing, assisted living and independent living options for seniors since 1900. The organization is located southeast of Madison in Stoughton, WI.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the HR team to ensure effective delivery of HR services

Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements

Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance HR efficiency

Handle employee relations matters and provide guidance on conflict resolution

Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business goals

Conduct organization design and workforce planning activities

Utilize data collection and analysis for informed decision-making

Manage talent acquisition, development, and retention programs

Oversee compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant labor laws

Manage the employee benefits and make recommendations as needed

Requirements:

Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role

Strong negotiation and communication skills

In-depth knowledge of HR processes and best practices

Ability to effectively manage talent management initiatives

Experience in organization design and change management

Proficiency in data-driven decision-making

Excellent understanding of employee relations principles

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
