Responsibilities
The Radiation Therapist administers ionizing radiation (radiation therapy treatments) to patients as specifically prescribed by a physician in a detailed treatment plan according to established standards and practices.
Qualifications
Job Requirements :
- Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation accredited education program or Radiologic Technology/Radiation Therapy Program.
- 1+ years' of experience as a radiation therapist with comprehensive clinical knowledge to include treatment delivery and simulation.
- Active and current ARRT certification in Radiological Therapy .
- Basic Life Support and CPR certifications.
- Skillful in leadership, judgement, creativity and significant knowledge of the field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Aria and EPIC particularly scheduling, charge capture, treatment delivery, historical treatment record interpretation and clinical data.
