Opportunity

Kohler Co is driving a digital transformation to fuel growth through an increasing focus on new digital business models and capabilities. This position will play a key role in accelerating Kohler Co.'s journey by leading the delivery of Supply Chain & Operations (SCO) applications that are critical for enabling business growth and gracious customer experiences. This position is located in Kohler WI.

The Associate Manager is responsible for the performance management, development, and direct supervision of IT Architects and Analysts to design, build, and deliver Supply Chain & Operations technology solutions in region. This position will work with IT Business Solutions managers, project managers and other delivery team managers to plan, schedule and execute major projects and process improvement initiatives. The Associate Manager will direct the activities of IT associates along with coordinating and overseeing implementation activities of 3rd party partners. This position has wide latitude for un-reviewed action and decision, and therefore must be able to act and make decisions independently. The Associate Manager will report to the Manager - IT, Supply Chain & Operations, Americas.

The successful candidate will be a passionate people leader, strategic thinker, and a change agent, able to build credibility and influence at all levels of the organization. Must be capable of directing and supervising a wide range of activities covering multiple concurrent projects, and interfacing with personnel and leaders from all regions and business units.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Direct, measure and evaluate the systems development efforts of Architects / Analysts to provide for efficient management and operation, consistent standard systems and processes, and a positive impact on the business.
  • Champion robust design, implementation, and maintenance of SCO solutions to increase business effectiveness, solve problems, and create new opportunities to assist in achieving business goals.
  • Conduct or review feasibility studies, solution design proposals, and evaluate the credibility of IT and 3rd party partner cost estimates and timelines.
  • Control, enforce, and adhere to IT methodologies, standards and procedures.
  • Participate in developing plans, strategies, budgets, capital requirements and resource capacity requirements.
  • Provide positive motivational leadership to associates. Support development of technical and professional skills for all associates. Evaluate the performance of the team. Participate in the interview and hiring of IT personnel. Make recommendations for employment, promotion, transfers or disciplinary action.
  • Provide 24X7 on-call escalation support of systems where applicable based on business needs / requirements.
  • Manage task assignments, identify constraints, and balance workload to maintain work/life balance for the team.
  • This position requires occasional travel for project and organizational needs.


Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field required. Masters/MBA desirable. There is a strong preference for someone within a systems development organization
  • 7+ years of IT technical development & management experience.
  • 2+ years directing technical resources on concurrent projects to successfully deliver projects, including scheduling, motivating and holding associates accountable.
  • Directing and establishing priorities with management.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully working and delivering on logistics systems in a solution architect capacity.
  • Experience with 3rd party integrations and partner management.
  • Data architecture, Analytics and modeling experience is a plus.
  • Experience with implementing SAP or other enterprise SCO solutions and architecture.
  • Strong manufacturing acumen, including knowledge and experience with discrete, repetitive and continuous manufacturing processes.

The salary range for this position is $102,500 - $130,550. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
