Position Overview:
Courtyard by Marriott is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead the sales efforts for our property. As the Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth, building relationships with corporate clients, and ensuring that our hotel remains competitive in the local market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in hospitality sales, strong leadership skills, and the ability to develop and execute innovative marketing strategies.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the hotel's sales and marketing initiatives to achieve revenue targets.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans to maximize group, corporate, and transient business.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, meeting planners, travel agencies, and corporate clients.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and other department heads to align sales strategies with overall hotel goals.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and local demand to adjust sales tactics and strategies accordingly.
- Create and execute marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, and traditional channels, to increase brand visibility and drive bookings.
- Manage the sales team, providing leadership, mentoring, and performance feedback to ensure team success.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client site visits, and networking events to generate new business opportunities.
- Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to hotel leadership, offering insights and recommendations.
- Manage the hotel's online presence, ensuring accurate and compelling content across booking platforms, social media, and the hotel's website.
- Plan and execute promotional events, trade shows, and marketing activities to elevate the hotel's brand and attract new business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of sales and marketing experience in the hospitality industry, preferably with Marriott or another major hotel brand.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with hotel sales software (Salesforce, Delphi, etc.)
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and e-commerce trends.
- Ability to analyze market data and financial reports to make informed decisions.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Willingness to travel for business development and industry events as needed.
