The Vice President (VP) of HVS Services reports directly to the Chief Clinical Officer of the Behavioral Health System (BHS) and works closely with the Chief Medical Director for HVS Services. This role is aligned with the HVS Governing Council to ensure streamlined reporting and accountability.
As the leader for HVS services across BHS, the VP will drive a superior market value proposition and a comprehensive strategy across the continuum of care. In a matrix environment with leaders of each operating entity, the VP is accountable for achieving growth and value-based strategies for clinical service lines at the system level.

Key Imperatives & Success Measures:
- Strategic Leadership: Directs HVS services across BHS to deliver a leading value proposition and align with a continuum of care strategy.
- Operational Accountability: Manages multiple departments within the health system, overseeing growth and value-based strategies for clinical service lines at the system level.
- Partnership & Relationship Development: Builds effective collaborations with operational, physician, ancillary, and support leaders to achieve shared goals, maintain quality indicators, and meet measurement standards.
- Service Line Management: Oversees the management and development of clinical areas and programs, collaborating with Beacon Health System colleagues and the physician dyad.
- Leadership Collaboration: Actively participates in leadership and partnership teams, including operational administrators and physicians, to guide the growth and effectiveness of the HVS service line.
- Communications: Demonstrates the ability to convey information clearly, effectively, and persuasively across various levels of an organization.
Responsibilities:
- Establish a comprehensive Institute Model for Cardiovascular (CV) services with Centers of Excellence.
- Develop and implement an outreach and access plan.
- Oversee strategic and business development processes for service lines, aligning with system-wide strategic planning.
- Drive the strategic growth of HVS service lines within the health system.
- Lead the development of HVS service line networks within BHS and in partnership with other health systems in Indiana.
- Collaborate with health system leadership to define and deliver a superior value proposition based on measurable outcomes, including quality, cost, and service.
- Ensure physician alignment across BHS and develop partnerships across the continuum of care for superior market care and population management.
- Work with key stakeholders, including Finance, to develop and implement financial plans ensuring fiscal viability and manage service line margins.
- Develop and implement operational plans for service lines, ensuring efficient care systems and staff development.
- Collaborate with IT, system leadership, and service line presidents to align clinical decision support with value-based work.
- Utilize knowledge of current policies, practices, trends, and competitive threats to advance service lines and integrate innovative solutions.
- Partner with the Oncology Leadership team to strengthen the Lung Cancer program, focusing on minimally invasive therapies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred) or a related healthcare field
- A Master's degree in Hospital Administration, Business Administration and/or Advanced Certification (CHE, FACHE, CPE, CMPE, CHFP, FACMPE) is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an acute care hospital setting, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Proven leadership experience aligned with the mission and philosophy of BHS.
- Minimum of ten years in significant administrative leadership positions, with at least five years in applicable service lines preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working closely with physicians, particularly in program development and partnerships.
