Position Purpose
Provides support with plans, organization, and coordination of health partnerships to support collaborations between the Student and Family Experience's departments and various community partners to facilitate efficient and effective expansion of campus-based services. The Specialist is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and oversight of healthcare services, child and family educational support systems, collaboration with the medical professionals of the school-based health care centers and integration and communication of district and community initiatives that directly impact the health, social and emotional wellbeing of students as well as student achievement.

Position Purpose

The Specialist is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and oversight of healthcare services, child and family educational support systems, collaboration with the medical professionals of the school-based health care centers and integration and communication of district and community initiatives that directly impact the health, social and emotional wellbeing of students as well as student achievement.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Program Management
- Assist with the coordination of health services to targeted campuses or district locations.
- Provides on-site support to FWISD School Nurses and Health Assistants at targeted campus.
- Serves as the support liaison for all health partners, including but not limited to Alcon Children's Vision Center, UNTHSC, Goodside Health, and Children's Oral Health Coalition partners.
- Collaborates with the coordination and planning for campus and community health events to maximize the number of students served across FWISD.
- Plans and organizes projects implementation through orientation and communication of expectations and goals to campus and community stakeholders.
- Guides and assists monitoring of the health partnership activities through the implementation of regular communication with staff and internal/external stakeholders, including identification of problems and generating solutions, through collaborative discussions in recurring meetings with health partners.
- Supports designs and implementation of Health Partnership Action Plans, annual timelines and milestones.
- Supports regularly scheduled meetings with associated grant committees to review the progress of work, discuss solutions to problems, and generate action plans.
Monitoring & Compliance
- Responsible for providing copies of, and distribution of documents, including the original Request for Application (RFA), for grant personnel; including individuals in the business office, District offices, and related grant program areas.
- Engages with local decision-making committees and other appropriate state and federal programs to maximize the effectiveness of the grant.
- Identifies additional resources to carry out grant project activities as needed.
- Facilitates development and implementation of effective and efficient assessment systems, and data collection processes, that provide a record of baseline measures and tracks longitudinal trends.
- Prepares and submits all reports and data regarding the assigned programs.
- Provides regular feedback to stakeholders regarding the status of projects or issues.
- Maintains electronic files of all program-related activity.
- Facilitates and coordinates the reporting and approval process to District administrators.
Professional Learning Community
- Provides regular updates of program activities and services to appropriate audiences.
- Collaborates with District departments to coordinate and implement programs that support the special needs of all student populations.
- Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in healthcare, and education sectors by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research.

Travel Requirements
- Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Physical & Mental Demands, Work Hazards
- Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including computer and peripherals.
- Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; occasional stooping, squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
- Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions, including keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching.
- Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds).
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program or Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist PhD from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: 3-5 years' related experience in education, health services, business or project planning and management, or training.
- Researching supplemental funding preferred.
- Certificate/License: None
- Language: Bilingual skills preferred in some settings.
