About the Role
As a Corporate Development Lead at Finfare, you will drive growth through end-to-end management of M&A and strategic investments. This role involves sourcing opportunities, conducting valuations, negotiating deals, and overseeing successful integration. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams and senior executives to identify strategic growth areas and develop M&A priorities, while building relationships with key external partners. Additionally, you'll lead cross-functional efforts to ensure smooth integration and alignment with company goals. About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end M&A and strategic investments including: sourcing, performing financial analysis and valuation, negotiation, deal structuring, coordinating and overseeing due diligence, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner closely across product, markets, revenue, and the executive team to identify strategic growth areas and develop M&A priorities for the company.
- Build and maintain deal pipeline by developing deep relationships with bankers, investors, industry players, founders and strategic partners.
- Scan the market continuously for inorganic or strategic opportunities that may be a fit for Finfare.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure successful integration and monetization of acquisitions.
- Provide strategic oversight, guidance, and support for successful integration of acquisitions or strategic partnerships.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure tight alignment between the corporate development strategy and the integration process.
- Distill complex diligence findings and build clear and compelling investment cases for review by senior executives and the Board of Directors.
- Work with business and product teams to understand their roadmaps and needs to help inform deal sourcing and priorities.
- Collaborate with product, analytics, technology, legal, finance, and other cross functional teams to drive deal diligence, integration planning, documentation, and implementation.
- Assist with day-to-day Finance ad-hoc overflow responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, or private equity, preferably at a top-tier company.
- At least 3+ years of in-house corporate development experience, post investment banking or VC/PE (Technology, Fintech, and Financial Services companies experience preferred).
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative/analytical field; MBA and/or CFA strongly preferred.
- Expert in financial modeling, including various valuation methodologies.
- Extensive direct transaction experience, from research and target identification to closing and integration.
- Mastery of written and verbal communication with an ability to articulate viewpoints clearly and concisely to internal and external executive leaders.
- Experienced negotiator with the ability to draw on a wealth of creative capital solutions and partnership structures.
- Experience with unique debt and equity capital solutions is a bonus.
- Exceptional communication and executive presence with the ability to influence, present concepts, recommendations, and analyses to senior management in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
- Ability to build and maintain a network of senior-level relationships externally and internally to facilitate deal sourcing and execution of strategic priorities.
- Experience aligning and driving cross-functional teams.
- Ability to problem solve and proactively project manage numerous projects with competing timelines.
- Proven track record of advanced analytical skills; must be able to define and execute key analyses with minimal supervision.
- Highly organized with extraordinary attention to detail.
- Experience reviewing legal agreements and working with counsel to iterate deal documentation.
- Comfortable working independently in an ever-changing environment, at times with high levels of ambiguity.
- The role is based at our Irvine office and requires on-site work at least 4+ days a week.
