Position Summary
Deputy Administrator serves as a member of the Administrator's management team performing a broad of duties, including: coordination and management of division-wide and department-wide projects; the management of day-to-day operations of the division; overseeing the operational management and maintenance of state-owned buildings; overseeing all real estate transactions and development efforts; overseeing enterprise fleet & transportation services; overseeing operating budgets; and implementation of Division policies, goals, objectives, and strategic plans. This position is responsible for creating and monitoring performance metrics; providing leadership by advising, guiding, and coordinating division-wide operational improvements; and fostering communications, team building and conflict resolution across bureaus. This position also manages human resource activities, tracks the vacancy rate and workforce plan, and ensures new staffing efforts align with overall goals and strategic plans.

Salary Information
This position is in schedule-range (81-01) with an annual salary between $99,320 and $120,910. This is a career executive level position, a 2-year trial period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

Certain positions within this Department may allow remote/work from home flexibility for a portion of their work schedule, depending on the needs of the position and the work unit. This topic and any remote work flexibility that may be available will be discussed in more detail in the interview process. This position will be expected to report into off 5 days a week for the first 6 months while training and may transition to 3 days a week in office depending on divisional needs.
