A Leading Metro St Louis (Madison County) based Primary Care Practice that Specializes in providing diagnostic excellence throughout the entire spectrum of Primary Care Medicine including Outpatient/Ambulatory Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Outpatient/Same Day Surgical Procedures, Skilled Rehab and Long Term Nursing Care is seeking dedicated Nurse Practitioners to join our growing team. The Nurse Practitioner is an essential and interactive position that includes working directly with patients and working with the diagnosis and treatment of care.
Job Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner in this position will be to primarily perform comprehensive health assessments including obtaining complete health histories, accurate physical examinations, and administering treatment plans in collaboration with the practicing Physician. The Nurse Practitioner will also be responsible for initiating treatment for patient with commonly occurring health problems, which lie within the nurse specialist's scope of practice. Previous Nursing Home experience will be an plus for this position.
In order to be considered for the Nurse Practitioner position, candidates are required to have a master's degree in nursing with advanced skills in physical assessment. They must also have valid license to practice and use the title of Nurse Practitioner within the state. In addition, the NP must also have their current CPR/BCLS certification.
Job Requirements:
Possess advanced certifications as required by clinical practice area/client
Strong Interpersonal and communication skills and a caring/professional bedside manor
Prescriptive authority preferred; DEA number.

Other specific responsibilities for the Nurse Practitioner will also include:
Order/Perform selected diagnostic test and procedures as indicated by the patient's condition
Prescribes approved medications as outlined by the state regulatory acts
Instructing individuals and/or families about health or defined health problems as well as communicating plan of care while maintaining privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
Maintaining a clean, safe and professional environment while performing test, treatments, and procedures
Use Electronic Health Records (EHR).
Requirements
