Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer Overview
Working under general direction from Senior Manufacturing Engineers in a team environment, support manufacturing production of composite components and assemblies to ensure timely delivery of products that meet customer expectations. From engineering requirements, develop manufacturing plans, defining sequence of operations, tooling requirements and quality inspection plans for the guidance of production workers. Participate in and lead continuous/process improvement initiatives. Refine and enhance product processes by applying continuous improvement and key lean manufacturing and production principles and techniques to all areas of production. Provide day to day support working closely with production operators, supervisors, and other functional teams to resolve technical issues and perform root cause corrective action. Work with mechanics throughout the bond process to help identify defect contributors and implement corrective action to prevent recurrence of bond defects. Ensure mechanics are following best practices as well as planning operations throughout the entire bond operations value stream. Maintain positive, team relationships with internal and external customers, as well as co-workers. Use Lean/Six Sigma Tools to predict and improve process yield. Examples of these tools include Statistical Process Control, Variable Control Matrix, and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis. Utilize Practical Problem-Solving techniques such as A3, 8D, Root Cause Corrective Action, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagrams, and Parato Analysis to determine the origin of a failure, its impact to overall business, and determine containment and countermeasure actions to eliminate recurrence of nonconformances. Ability to transition or support prototype or research activity related to manufacturing technologies. Work with research and development team on digital manufacturing and new production programs initiatives

Experience and Other Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent resident per ITAR (i.e., "Green Card') (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) guidelines.
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or a foreign person per ITAR.
- Bachelor of Science in a relevant field (such as mechanical, manufacturing or aerospace engineering) or equivalent and 10+ years of related experience.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Dedicated and motivated and possess good communication skills with good problem-solving skills.
- Experience in planning and manufacturing execution systems within aerospace fields is a plus.
- Requires a thorough knowledge of multiple engineering applications and manufacturing procedures.
- Experience in CAD based systems, especially CATIA V5 is preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant technology is a plus.
- Must possess effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must have composite fabrication experience.
- 100% onsite role.
- Schedule: 1st shift, Monday thru Thursday (4x10).
