Position Summary:
The Senior Director, Marketing and Engagement is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Marketing team including oversight of the planning, development and implementation of marketing strategies across communication channels. This person will be involved in ensuring strategic and tactical responsibilities are completed with urgency, attention to detail, and innovation. In addition, this person serves as a strategic marketing consultant to key departments across LeadingAge and is a key strategic partner to the Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications.

The DC-based salary range for this position is ($141,791-$149,254) based on a full-time, 37.5-hour work week for this exempt position. Salary offered may vary depending on relevant factors as determined by LeadingAge, which may include, but are not limited to, background and experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, certifications and licensures, internal equity, geographic location and other organizational needs. Salaries for candidates hired outside of the DMV will have salary adjusted using Economic Research Institute's, Geographic Tool Assessor.

In addition, this person serves as a strategic marketing consultant to key departments across LeadingAge and is a key strategic partner to the Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead LeadingAge's proactive communications that are focused on member engagement, including both strategy and tactical implementation to drive dues and non-dues revenue.
- Lead targeted audience engagement with LeadingAge products, services, events, and other association member and non-member programs.
- Leverage audience insights and analytics to develop, implement, and measure marketing and engagement campaigns.
- Create performance-driven marketing and engagement plans tailored to grow our audiences, lead participation in programs and experiences, expand use of educational products, and create organizational impact.
- Manage full-time, contract and freelance team members (i.e., to include Digital Content Manager and designers).
- Lead marketing vendor relationships and participate in ongoing vendor/partner evaluation and partnership building.
- Anticipate and build capacity and systems to respond to future marketing needs across the organization.
- Create engaging written content in the form of e-newsletters, web page and blog content, and social media messages.
- Proactively collaborate and communicate with LeadingAge departments to meet their marketing needs, as they contribute to organizational goals.
- Collaborate with Senior Vice President to map out department strategies project plans that advance organizational goals.

Qualifications, Knowledge, And Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, strategic communications, or a related field, plus 8 years' experience as a digital marketer; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with established and emerging digital marketing strategies and platforms, audience segmentation, data analysis, project management, and campaign development.
- This individual should be proficient in CRM, multi-channel advertising, email marketing, print trafficking, and social media.
- Experience working with Salesforce, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, project management software (e.g. Monday.com), file sharing tools (e.g. Dropbox), and Microsoft Office products.
- Experience managing a team of marketers of varying experience levels.
- Experience with nonprofits or aging services preferred. Interest in the LeadingAge mission.

- Ability to learn/translate/refer to large amounts of technical material and produce written communications such as, but not limited to, training materials.
- Ability to travel to external meetings both locally and nationally, including periodic overnight travel.
- Normal work requires frequent use telephone and computer (monitor, keyboard, mouse).
- Ability to be mobile at Annual Meeting; Leadership Summit Conference; and other meetings and events.
- May be required to move about frequently in the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, attend meetings, etc.
- May require standing/sitting for prolonged periods of time during meetings and conferences.

- Flexible Vacation after successful completion of the introductory period; 15 hours of Volunteer Time; 22.5 hours of Personal Time.
