POSITION SUMMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Scope and deliver analysis to provide perspective, insights and recommendations on opportunities and challenges.
- Understand what drives a customer to react to Association marketing messaging and provide optimization recommendations on all elements of that messaging including content, frequency, channel and sequence
- Drive forward time-bound, prioritized projects identified by the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer with an instinctive understanding of leverage and opportunity.
- Act as a strategic thought partner, project manager and execution support to the Marketing and Communications team, including partnership around priorities and strategic alignment of calendar
- Draft communications, presentation materials and reports with a high degree of competency and attention to detail.
- Structure and manage communication from Marketing and Communications team to the broader team and surface key issues for awareness and action;
- Synthesize, analyze and manage data from multiple systems to monitor progress across functional teams;
- Identify areas of strategic importance and engage the relevant contacts and data to inform team's time and attention;
- Prioritize issues, engage appropriate resources and ensure responses and follow-up actions are completed as appropriate.
- Understand and organize Marketing and Communications strategic goals and provide mid-year and end-of-year progress for ultimate dissemination to the Chief Executive Officer and Leadership Council;
- Orchestrate strategic and complex projects shifting from strategy to tactical execution as needed;
- Lead the planning, communication and operations of key committees, partners and boards as assigned by the Chief;
- Serve as a leader for organizational culture and collaboration.
- Facilitate and coordinate staff meetings within the Marketing and Communications team;
- Represent the Marketing and Communications team in internal and external meetings;
- Foster strong and authentic relationships, while understanding the Association's direction, goals, and expectations;
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships to leverage partnerships with foundations, nonprofits, businesses, agencies, where appropriate, and other key decision makers in alignment with the Association's core values and interests;
- Write and/or ghostwrite original blog posts, briefs, website content, and other materials communicating the Association's policy impact and strategy to internal and external stakeholders;
- Understand and effectively communicate the Association's mission, vision, core values and strategic direction to internal and external groups, including key stakeholders and intermediaries; and
- Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the Chief, or other designee.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS degree required; MBA or other Master's degree preferred;
- Preference for significant relevant work experience (8+ years) with strong networks and contacts, as well as a broad, generalist background with deep and comprehensive understanding of project management, communications, research and analysis;
- Successful experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team and working effectively with persons from diverse cultural, social and ethnic backgrounds;
- Extensive experience presenting information to diverse audiences as well as speaking effectively with key stakeholders;
- Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing accuracy is a must;
- Demonstrated ability to meet deliverable dates in time while managing multiple projects simultaneously;
- Ability to interpret research results, analyze their implications for communication, and present the results (via written and stand-up presentations)
- Ability to lead all phases of a primary project, including RFP development, design, data collection management, data analysis, reporting and presentation;
- Ability to design a study; write/edit a questionnaire; design analytical plan for a study; conduct appropriate analysis and write quantitative reports/presentations.
- Experience creating informative and engaging data visualizations using industry leading tools.
