Position Overview

International is currently seeking an Internal Controls and Compliance Specialist to join our Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) team. The GRC team is responsible for Internal Controls, Corporate Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, & Data Privacy. The position will report into the Internal Controls Manager.

The Internal Controls and Compliance Specialist is accountable for supporting the execution of GRC projects and internal control testing of our financial and operational business processes. In addition, this position participates in the execution of risk assessments, internal controls assessments, and other regulatory, operational, and compliance projects that support the annual plan.

This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Lisle, IL. and will be a hybrid position with 3 days in office.

Responsibilities

  • Support GRC projects to assess risks and controls associated with key strategic initiatives and business functions
  • Support the annual internal control testing program
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for management on project or testing results and corrective action plans
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on risk and compliance policies or best practices
  • Support the organization's compliance with regulations, policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain strong relations with business process and functional departments
  • Contribute to on-going process improvement opportunities within the GRC department


Minimum Requirements

  • Master's degree

OR
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 1 year of audit, accounting or finance experience

OR
  • At least 3 years of audit, accounting or finance experience


Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, CRMA) or advanced degree preferred
  • Relevant professional experience in a GRC or audit related function
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio)
