Overview

The Space Management Program Manager is responsible for the organization's enterprise space management program, defining the strategy, program design, and managing the operational execution of work processes. S/He is a subject matter expert in space inventory management and leads NAH's space governance functions to make complex decisions, while understanding the implications to master planning efforts and strategic space initiatives. This role is accountable for the integrity of NAH's space inventory, maintenance of a program roadmap, and project management oversight of all space/move projects. S/He requires the ability to balance multiple priorities and tasks, across a broad array of stakeholders and partners. The ideal candidate will be a "hands-on" leader, skilled at interacting with leaders, physicians, and colleagues in a collaborative manner, while balancing the priorities of the various functions of the organization.

Responsibilities

Space Management
Manage the space governance structure, driving complex decisions forward.
Manage the NAH Space Inventory system, including partner relationships, product upgrades and feature enhancements.
Manage NAH's Space Request processes, ensuring timely evaluation and response to organizational requests for space.
Serve as the point of contact to the Development & Construction team for space planning and capital projects.

Project Management
Scope and budget potential projects.
Manage the Initiate phase of a project; gathering business requirements and developing preliminary project plans.
Manage the Design phase of a project; developing scope, project plans, and timelines, and finalizing design documents.
Manage the Execute phase of a project; delivering the expected results for the project.
Manage the Activation phase of a project; conducting final testing and training for the release of space into production.
Manage the Closeout phase of a project; delivering the space to operations and formally closing the project.

Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain and advance space management program workflows and systems.
Accountable for all space management workflow documents and policies in NAH's Document Control system.
Oversee contract administration needs, including initiation and vender performance.
Facilitate effective communication across the enterprise; building, developing and growing business relationships with stakeholders and vendors.

Healthcare Operations
Partner with Directors and Executive Leaders in short- and long-range planning activities that align with NAH's strategic plan.
Incorporate innovation and new technologies, promoting the individual needs of each service line/department.
Act in an advisory role to all departments, programs, staff, and leaders.

Compliance/Safety
Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.
Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.
If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.
Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent relevant experience (5+ yrs) - Required
Master's Degree, or equivalent relevant experience (8+ yrs) - Preferred

Certification & Licensures
Project Management Professional (PMP) - Preferred
Lean, Six Sigma, or ASQ Certification - Preferred

Experience
3+ years' experience in space planning, architecture, facilities management, real estate, space information management, or related field - Required
3+ years' healthcare related construction experience - Preferred
Superior analytical skills, with an ability to multi-task, and demonstrated ability to solve complex problems - Required
Proven ability to independently set and meet deadlines, while working in a fast-paced environment, across multiple projects - Required
Excellent oral and written communication, as well as ability to maintain confidentiality and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders - Required
Mastery of various software packages (including: Microsoft Office, e-Builder, Blue Beam, and Service Now) to generate reports, build and track project plans, as well as read and redline architectural drawings - Required
