The Position:
We're looking for an experienced Admissions / Intake Manager / Director of Admissions. The Director of Admissions is responsible for the coordination of an effective and efficient admission process through referral processing, Ohana Admissions Team (OAT) management, community partner collaboration, and risk management while achieving established goals and benchmarks. Responsibilities include:
- Oversight of admissions process.
- Manages bed status daily and sets goals based on census and pending discharges. Projects out weekly census availability based on upcoming discharges.
- Reviews referrals and clinically clears and processes. Identifies trends or obstacles of denials or lost admissions.
- Works directly with admission liaison to direct and supervise to improve customer relationships and census management.
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with hospital and community partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, health care administration or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting or case management preferred.
- Strong clinical knowledge required.
- A track record of successful experience in a health care setting, strong interpersonal skills, and experience working with physicians, nursing management, discharge planners, case managers, and social workers.
