The Project Manager will manage, coordinate, and oversee all project management activities. This individual will take a holistic view, identify, and drive opportunities to reduce the time to deliver products to market. Additionally, the Project Manager will organize, direct, monitor, and control project tasks and activities for New Product Developments (NPD), Product Changes (PCR) and Engineering Services (REQs & ESVs) to ensure completion on time and within budget.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Project Plans and Tracking
  • Develop achievable project schedules based on product development process milestones and associated effort estimates and ensure all resources & stakeholders are aligned
  • Ensure all departments are aware of their specific duties including facilitating and coordinating project activities between departments and individuals
  • Ensure resources are appropriately allocated to each task / project; liaise with designated team leader / managers and remove any blocks for delivery
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, processes, and costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Perform and own risk management assessments to identify and minimize project risks
  • Act as a communication link between departments. Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, Planning (Materials Management), Marketing, Operations, Technical Support, and Sales
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget
  • Create, maintain, and optimize project templates and blueprints
  • Be a Leader and Champion for Wrike (Project and Task Management software). This includes onboarding, support and best practices

Reporting
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
    • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
    • Conduct project reviews (pre and post), establish format, coordinate personnel, review positives and development areas of projects. Identify opportunities for improvement and drive change
  • Conduct project meetings, coordinate meeting agendas, and distribute minutes to all project team members
  • Prepare coinciding status reports of tasks being performed on each stage. Escalate outstanding tasks to the departmental manager as required
  • Provide updates of specific project status' relating to project milestones and potential risk areas to business leaders
  • Assist / create dashboards and reports on the overall project status to business leaders and executive team

Process Improvement
  • Provide training and work with internal teams / individuals as required to ensure current processes are understood and followed
  • Identify, refine, develop, and drive process improvement to support the business
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and trends / project management tools


WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:
  • PMP or equivalent Project Management certification
  • Bachelors degree in engineering, business, marketing
  • 2 years minimum in a product development or engineering environment
    • Task and resource planning / management
    • Working on multiple projects (various sizes and complexity) simultaneously
    • Stage-gate development process experience
  • Highly proficient in MS Project, Wrike, Monday.com, Tello, or other project and task management software
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook)

  • Effective and concise communication skills; verbal, written and presentation
  • Ability to interact and adapt style with a range of stakeholders
  • The following is favorable / highly regarded:
    • Experience working with a business adopting scrum / agile methodology
    • Experience in developing polymer and electro-mechanical products, mechanical assemblies and systems
    • Intermediate knowledge of Power BI software
    • Basic understanding of ERP systems
