We are seeking a Compliance Officer in our Division of Engineering.

The Compliance Officer is based in Madison, WI at 3319 West Beltline Highway. Most work for this position will be performed remotely with the possibility of being in the Madison office once or twice a month. A reliable network connection provided by the incumbent is required to effectively work remotely. This position does require up to 10 percent travel.

Position Summary

The incumbent in this unclassified position reports to the Engineering Division Administrator and work is performed under general supervision.

As part of the Engineering Division Leadership Team, the incumbent leads the division with respect to all ECB and Wisconsin Public Broadcasting (WPB) service-oriented compliance with all pertinent regulation and regulatory authorities including FCC, FAA & tower leasing. The incumbent also coordinates with partner organizations and agencies to effectively manage discrepancy reporting for all services.

Salary Information

This unclassified position is assigned to pay schedule/range 81-03 with a starting hourly rate between $40.00 - $45.00 per hour ($83,200 - $93,600 annually), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits .

Job Details

Due to the nature of the position, ECB will conduct background checks on applicants prior to selection. ECB does not sponsor work visas. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form.

Travel reimbursement for eligible interview candidates may be provided.

The selected candidate may be offered moving expenses for this position if they meet the minimum distance as required by the Wisconsin Compensation Plan

Qualifications

Qualified applicants will have each of the following:
  • Experience navigating organizational regulatory compliance relating to federal, state, or local rules and laws
  • Training and/or experience in lease management and negotiations
  • Training and/or experience with computer systems and tools to organize, process, and track information to improve productive operations
