We are seeking a skilled Industrial Wastewater Treatment Engineer to join our team and provide technical leadership and sustaining support for the uninterrupted operation of liquid industrial waste systems (LIWS) within our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining safe, efficient 24/7 wastewater treatment operations, addressing technical challenges, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance.

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Wastewater Treatment Engineer to join our team and provide technical leadership and sustaining support for the uninterrupted operation of liquid industrial waste systems (LIWS) within our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining safe, efficient 24/7 wastewater treatment operations, addressing technical challenges, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver best-in-class wastewater treatment solutions by providing technical guidance and equipment support to maintain continuous factory operations.
- Act as the primary engineering support for various water treatment systems including Pump Stations, Biological Nutrient Removal, Membrane Bioreactor, and Dewatering.
- Serve as the first responder for engineering issues related to wastewater systems, including providing weekend and on-call support as needed for 24-hour operations.
- Collaborate extensively with construction teams and trade partners on system maintenance, troubleshooting, break-fix solutions, and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain and update Plan of Record documentation, ensuring accurate design, troubleshooting procedures, and operational protocols.
- Plan and coordinate daily engineering tasks with technicians and cross-functional engineering teams, utilizing data analysis to assess and improve system health.
- Work closely with suppliers to identify cost-effective solutions, ensuring compliance with master specifications and standards.
- Develop and revise technical documentation such as operating manuals, job plans, troubleshooting guides, and training packages for efficient system operation.
- Communicate regularly with various stakeholders, including engineering leaders, operations teams, facilities engineers, and others to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
- Utilize MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) for reporting and documentation.
- Interpret and work with schematics, technical drawings, and complex system diagrams to ensure accurate troubleshooting and system enhancements.
- Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role.
- Proven experience in industrial wastewater treatment or related engineering fields.
- Strong understanding of water treatment systems such as Pump Stations, Membrane Bioreactors, and Biological Nutrient Removal processes.
- Hands-on experience with system troubleshooting, break-fix solutions, and process improvements in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and technical diagrams.
- Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, construction partners, and suppliers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) for reporting and documentation.
Education / Licenses / Certifications
- 3-5 years' experience plus Mechanical or Mechanical Engineering degree required.
- Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
