We are seeking a Business Development Executive who is responsible for all aspects of our sales cycle within the Business Development Sales Division. This includes building the pipeline by identifying and qualifying targeted opportunities, speaking with and ultimately meeting with prospective clients and giving the presentation, and then finalizing and closing deal. All aspects of the sales cycle will be done within a team-based environment; upon closing a deal the Business Development Executive will ensure a smooth transition to a Sales Executive.
We will consider candidates in the states of Ohio and/or Texas. This position allows for hybrid work in Ohio, but would be fully remote for other states along with required travel.

Main duties include:
- Build market position by locating, developing, defining and closing business
- Cold call as appropriate to ensure a robust pipeline
- Visit and meet potential customers on location
- Identify growth strategies
- Sell
- Build Strong Customer Relations (new and current)
- Attend conferences, meetings, educational seminars and other industry events
- 3rd Party Vendor Relations
- Meet quarterly and annual minimum expectations set forth by Shaffer
Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- 4-6 years business development or outside sales experience
- Experience prospecting
- Proven track record of face-to-face sales and achieving sales targets
- Moderate experience using Microsoft Office Suite & CRMs
- Must have a high degree of accountability in delivering results
- Ability to present in front of large crowds
- Ability to Travel up to 25% of the time; you will need to travel to customer locations across the United States to meet customers for new business opportunities as well as to attend industry tradeshows and events.
- Reliable source of transportation and valid driver's license
- Knowledge of Family Entertainment and/or Vending industry is a plus
